Inform about Our Work

We are pleased this year’s Dreambuilders is benefitting the new Birth Center and Obstetrics Program at Virginia Mason.

  • The Birth Center and Obstetrics Program will bring babies back to Virginia Mason!
  • The new birth center will provide high quality service and continuity of care, from mother’s healthcare needs prior and during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post-partum health care for mother and baby.
  • The new program and facility is designed with the patient in mind. The new facility will provide a comfortable space for mother, baby, and family to share in the momentous occasion, with space for caregivers to deliver high-quality and personalized care to mother and baby.

Table Captain FAQs

This is my first time being a table captain.  Where do I start?

It's easy! Each table can accommodate 10 people. Start by thinking about your colleagues, friends, and family members who you believe care about transforming healthcare. We recommend reaching out to anyone who may want to learn more about Virginia Mason and invite them to an incredible evening at Dreambuilders. We have created email templates for you to send. If you need additional tables, that’s great too!

If your guests are unable to attend but would like to donate, you can bring their donations with you to the dommer, ask them to donate online or mail checks them to: Virginia Mason Foundation PO Box 1930 Seattle, WA 98111.

How do I invite guests?

We have created multiple versions of the invitation so you can invite guests in the way that is most natural for you: face-to-face, over the phone, or via email, mailed invitation or social media.

If you need printed invitations, please contact and we can provide them.

Once I have my guests’ names, where do I start?

The easiest way is to share the Event Registration Link so your guests can register themselves online and choose to be seated with you, their table captain. Then they’ll get a confirmation directly from us.

Or, if you prefer, you can use this Table Captain Name Submission link.

Or gather your guests’ names, mail and email addresses, phone numbers and any dietary restrictions they may have. Add them to the form and email it to If guests are paying for their own seat at your table, please ask them to register and pay online.

What if I have a partially filled table?

No problem! We hope that you’ll be able to fill your table(s) but can work with you to accommodate whatever number of guests you have. If you anticipate having a partially filled table, please email so we can arrange to fill any open seats.

Will I need to send more details to my guests prior to the event?

A few days prior to Dreambuilders we encourage you to remind your table guests that the Dinner is coming up and you’re excited to see them there—but know that once your guests are registered, they’ll get an email from Virginia Mason with all the details they need.
